I have over 25 years of wide ranging experience as a finance professional, business executive, attorney, entrepreneur and business owner including the  successful purchase, growth and sale of a $100+ million private business to a private equity firm. 

As a strategic leader, operations specialist and attorney who manages functions, risk and processes, develops people and builds teams in a positive corporate culture, I have added value whether it was working at a large bank, a fortune 500 company, large law firms, startups or a smaller entrepreneurial niche business.   

As a business executive, I oversaw a broad range of operations, including creating an operational framework and infrastructure build-out, developing and implementing strategies, supporting C-suite initiatives, assessing organizational needs, and executing best practices. I spearheaded cross-functional operational initiatives across HR, IT, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Finance, Communications, and Facilities, while driving execution of strategic objectives.   

As General Counsel, I supervised the risk management operations of the company, including the ongoing development and monitoring of strategies designed to preserve and protect the company's financial and human capital. In addition to providing legal guidance, developing compliance programs and reviewing contracts, I managed outside legal, HR and insurance professional services.

I began my career over 25 years ago on Wall Street and later worked as a corporate attorney at large law firms and as in-house counsel at a Fortune 100 company.  I also owned and operated the largest independent lighting and lighting controls distributor in New York City where I served as the Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel, overseeing the administrative functions including human resources, technology and legal.  

I am a founding member of St. Jude Spirit of Hope annual charity event that focuses on raising money for childhood cancer from the New York City Real Estate & Construction community.  

I graduated from Hamilton College with a degree in political science.  While in college I worked as a White House intern for President Clinton and then spent time in England studying at the London School of Economics and Oxford University.  

I hold a law degree from Hofstra School of Law where I was a member of the Law Review and served as the Business Editor.
